Letterpress Stationery, a Learning Process
I started Winged Seed Paperie after becoming enamored with modern letterpress. A few online searches turned into a social media deep-dive into how this centuries-old practice was gaining new life with present-day techniques and applications. And as fate would have it, my curiosity was piqued because my grandfather had an old printing press.
Several years of YouTube videos and letterpress printing blogs and articles and one fabulous online course (Learn Letterpress from Britt Rohr of Swell Press) later, I had a functioning press and more information on the process of printing. I then made the decision to start a letterpress stationery business. Starting a business is a whole other blog post in itself, but let’s just say it’s been an ever-evolving journey.
What We Do
Winged Seed Paperie offers letterpress wedding stationery, both custom and semi-custom, personal and business stationery, and a small line of greeting cards. Our offerings are small at this time, but for good reason. I fully believe in quality over quantity, but will have several more invitation options soon.
